One of the questions we get asked about most often is where does the name “Chilli penguin” come from?
One of our son’s favourite books when he was 3 was about a penguin who didn’t like the cold, from that chilly penguin… Chilli Penguin was born. We still have the book, which is where this illustration is from.
As our first model had a little oven box on top, it became known as the Hungry Penguin. Our first customer bought the first production model in 2002. We are still in touch with that customer and he is still using his Hungry Penguin.
