.Hearth Brush – broomcorn/hemp

£27.00

Handmade hearth brush, made from natural broomcorn fibres with hemp twine, made to match as close to Chilli Penguin stove colours as possible. The handle loops are either the matching colour to the handle or orange. You can see the choices in the drop down menu. They are made for us by a local maker, Annabelle of “Wood n Feathers”. These beautiful natural brushes are made in front of her Chilli Penguin Stove. We use them for hearth brushes but they can be used for anything. If you want slightly softer bristles have a look at the tampico fibre hearth brushes, also in the shop. We use both types here and can’t honestly decide on our favourite!

Broom corn, (commonly known as sorghum) is a crop that Annabelle is trying to grow locally. The brushes are entirely biodegradable at the end of their life.
